When the radiator shop did mine, he sealed the inside after narrowing it.

Where you located? I have sumped tank removed from a 79 Firebird. Had someone TIG the Comp sump to a new tank. Went to in tank pimp.
Anyone in Texas need a tank?

You do not have to start with a new tank if you know what you are doing. Done them filling them with water. Done them filling them with CO2.
I put a 1/2" steel tube in mine from the front and just put it just off the low spot on the tank. 1.43 60 foots right now. Never needed a sump in mine.
I will just go with a small fuel cell if needed for the big engine.
