My 2012 5.3L 1500 Yukon, I put a massive Tru Cool transmission cooler on it at 50k miles. It now has 150k miles on it. Towing 7000 lbs it never gets over 170 degrees. Standard in town driving it's usually about 50 degrees above ambient temperature. I was concerned about it not getting hot enough. Seems to be working fine so far.
