I've used the Parts Place paint. Somewhat darker but tolerable. I've received PP items from Ames before. Be interesting to see if they use their paint too.
Original on top.

I have an original bezel I had rechromed about 20 years ago. Still holding up great. I got the aluminum insert and wood grain from Ames a few months ago.

The top one is original that came with my car. The bottom one I got from Ames. I know it was cut at the radio but if someone is interested in my original one, I'm willing to part with it. It's just sitting in my garage and I have no use for it.
