Might want to dump the contents of the can--including the lump at the bottom--in a yard-sale blender to chew-up the "lump". I used KW to seal-up a welding pinhole in my Olds 455 heads. Had a urine-stream leak from a previous repair. Took over an hour of running to fully-seal that leak, not the "20 minutes" like it said on the can of KW. However, it's been sealed for a decade. When you drain out the sealer and water after the block has quit leaking, be sure to remove the block drains as well as the radiator drain, so you remove as much as possible of the sealant. Yup. |

Good luck with the claim.

Don't forget about Murphy's Law. If you glue it together it will be fine until you are a great distance from home and then split open catastrophically.

I find it great that you where able to seal your pin hole, and for the lenght of time that it has held up for , but to me sealing a pin hole and a 3" long crack are two greatly different things to accomplish!

Agreed. I was under the impression he was looking for a temporary fix until a new block was procured. But if the builder is offering to pin it, seems like that's the right thing to do. Or replace the block. Either way, his car is down again.
