I go in on the 17th of September for surgery on a hernia in my groin area. Doctor told me that they are going to use mesh and then do nothing for 30 days. Not even supposed to drive my truck. 4 speed manual.

Considering it never bothered me until 3 years into my job, I would believe so... but the doctors were super careful to say "it could have happened when you slipped on the ladder at work with that heavy transformer in your hands, but it could have been a congenital defect from birth, we can't say for sure!"

Been there done that. My insides were falling down into my groin. Would have to push them back inside. Had the surgery with no problems and can't remember taking no pain medication. Hernia may have saved me. Needed ok from cardioligist. Flunked stress test and heart cath and ended up with open heart surgery before hernia. 5 yrs. before had drop dead heart attack and survived thats why cardioligist ok. I was an accident ready to happen again. Thanks Hernia.
