I've had several of these pages actually skim my instagram page and use my images to try and sell the part...that they clearly don't have.

This is a great idea, at least until the AI becomes good enough to generate the fake images you requested... which is coming way too fast.

Sux to deal with criminals and fraudulent anything. Online ads for local pickup migrated to online ads for shipped products a long time ago. eBay is at least a "moderated" market. I have bought and sold off FB Marketplace, but only local.

This forum's members and moderators do a good job managing scammers and I'm grateful for that.

Nobody wants to be tracked but when I hear of people getting scammed, it makes me wish there was an electronic certificate of authenticity or something that made it easy to know who we were dealing with.
