I still think I saw a white firebird on Daytona beach around 1978 that had emblems that said "Formula 500".

About a month back, while at an event with a good friend.
We had Mr. ASSHAT expert walk up to her '67 Bench Seat Column Shift Automatic and proclaimed, it' wasn't a REAL GTO because ALL GTOs were Manual Trans cars and became argumentative about his point ![]() We just laughed him away

I did meet a fella this past sunday that claimed his 72 LeMas Sport with a SBC was factory ordered that way...is this true?
I didn't think there were any Canadian LeMas chevontiacs...just Beaumonts, Acadians etc...

In the mid-1980s, I took my SD455 Formula to a local Pontiac show.
I was told it had to go into the Modified class because Formula's didn't come with Trans Am hoods. |

Stories such as have been posted have been around for generations.
Unfortunately, as FormulaBruce pointed out, AI is proliferating stories. Just remember that some of the AI generators are actually AS (artificial stupidity)! Jon

First Gettsyburg POCI. They were 4 1974 SD s together. 2 Formulas 2 TAs mine. The one Formula had tee tops which I never heard of or witnessed. If I remember he won 1st. I thought hmm that's not right, not stock. I guess dealer installed was maybe considered stock.
