I purchased the engine off of the guy who built a new one for his customer, the engine had been rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago but for whatever reason the owner wanted another engine from the guy I purchased it from. Since I didn’t know the history I tore it down and it looks pretty fresh inside as the seller told me (I never doubted him, just wanted to have a better idea of what I’m putting into my car)

To me, it’s a no brainer to install forged rods and do it right. Would make a great spare engine, ready to keep up with a top end upgrade down the road.
