![]() Actually the cheap single ply is the best for filtering oil, you want the media as tight and compact as possible. No pillowy air pockets in the media. The more dense the better for filtering purposes. ![]() Used, and new rolls during a media change. |

I was in Walmart over the weekend. Plenty of oil in stock but the Fram filter shelves were getting pretty bare.....thanks to First Brands bankruptcy.

I get filters and oil from Walmart the filters are all most always cleared out. From what I have been able to find out the small repair shops clean them out every month because it’s the cheapest place they get both. I get the Mopar filters for my trucks the older truck usually a couple left the newer truck almost always cleared out unless you go the first couple days after restocking.

Still the best deal on oil is at Costco. Just went last week and stocked up as usual because I have a few cars and only get to Costco every six months.

No sign of oil storage round here yet.
015 gmc is do soon. Takes 8 qts. Glad not a diesel. Would need a fuel filter same time. Those are pricey. 07 gp do also while I replace rotted ps lines. Lucky pessure line blew out in driveway after sitting all winter. Ya I know its June... Not fun only 1.5 ft up off pavement. Guess buy couple extra gallons oil.
