I have a 1971 Pontiac LeMans that my father and fixed up just enough to be a daily driver for my first car about 7 years ago. We never really did any real restoration work just tuned it up and did work to make it pass inspection. Since my father passed last year I'ved decided to do a budget "driver" restoration to the car in memory of him. I was in an accident in the car last year and broke my spine and dislocated both shoulders and its been a long recovery so my project has been funded through me working on other cars and trading parts. I have a lot of 71 - 72 GTO and LeMans parts if anybody needs anything please let me know because I probably have it. Also, a friend of mine has a 1971 Lemans parts car and he is a very generous person so I could pass his information along if I don't have the parts you are looking for. If anyone has any parts for a 71 or 72 GTO or LeMans please let me know. As of now, I could use front end pieces and an engine. For the front end, I'm happy to use a LeMans, Tempest, or GTO front end so I will use whatever comes along first. I think they are all beautiful cars. As for the engine, I am happy with anything at all. If its a bare block or a running engine of any size I could make it work. I can pay you for the parts as well as shipping or if I have something you could use I can trade parts as well. Since I'm just starting my restoration I have quite a bit of work ahead of me so any parts you have for my body style please let me know and I will let you know if I need it. By the way, I am using a stock exhaust system so I have a set of Hooker Headers that have less than 500 miles on them that I am happy to pass along for free to anyone who can use them. I am new to this website but it seems like everyone here is very nice and I thank you all for creating so a great place for Pontiac owners to get together!

Would a 1963 326 fit in a 1971 LeMans? Someone told me that in the mid 60's the position of the motor mounts changed. I'm not sure if that is true or not.
