All quiet on the GTO front.

I'm sure David will update us when something significant happens.
I think bringing this post up just reminds him of a bad situation. |

Putting it on the back burner in your mind also means you won't get your car back in timely fashion either, so which is worse? I'd be reminded of the situation every time I go in the garage and see my car still isn't there. It would always be front and center in my mind. No way I'd just sit by idle, doing nothing and just waiting for a body shop that just wants to take their sweet, sweet time. I'd be down at that shop once a week putting pressure on them. Either get it done or get used to me sitting in your waiting room bothering you until it is. It's astonishing to me to see just how many people here seem to be all too content to just let a shop have their car for YEARS. I don't begin to have time for that, to have my car gone for years at a time on account of someone else, instead of enjoying it on my own terms.

Just because he is not airing his frustrations in this forum on a regular basis, or updating us every minute (as if we needed to know) doesn't mean he's just passively sitting by the phone.

PG Collision called a bit ago wanting to discuss the paint on the underside of the hood. It hadn't occurred to me that it would be involved...........

Supposedly all the car needs is a clean up and it’ll be ready for pick up Wed, Thurs or Friday after Christmas.

I try to avoid these type topics but since you are FINALLY getting it back I'm sure it goes without saying.
However I will say it, DO NOT sign off until you have reviewed, test driven and reviewed again every inch of your car. Even things that did not need repair and should not have been touched. I might even suggest you call your so called insurance and have them send a rep to be on site, as you review YOUR car so as to witness and record any/all findings both good and/or bad. I wish you all the BEST and hope it comes to an end in a satisfactory manor. I respect your patients with this matter, you are a better man then I in this situation. Cheers.

Sounds like you haven't stopped in and seen the car since they had you okay the color last summer or you wouldn't have used "supposedly". I hope you are not disappointed and you use all the useful advice offered here by the others.
