here my 1971 pontiac firebird esprit. currently the heads are taken off and the head gaskets are being replaced...also the side markers will be placed and the logo's and louvers, as well as all the trim parts and chrome stuff. but it first will have to be painted....as it now is in primer

will add a formula hood and spoiler and car will be painted in pepper grey metallic with black metallic stripes [unique performance - eleanor colors]

by the way, if youre wondering what license plates those are. theyre dutch, as I'm from Holland, car came from california and is street legal just a week....

Default Black 72 T/A at SEMA

This black TA was at the SEMA show last week at Flowmaster's booth - info card identified it as a '72 T/A. Couldn't find anyone around who knew anything about it while I was there. It's a restomod with the flares, spoilers, tail lamp panel and bezels, etc. smoothed into the body. Pics didn't come out too good since it was a shiny black car on a black carpet with a black background, under fluorescent lights..., but it looked like a big $/big hour effort.

Note the rear license plate.

not liking the ricer grille, blackened traffic lights, wheels, blackend taillight bezels, shaved sidemarkers and the blackend chrome trim parts.

however the seats aren't bad, look nice and I guess have better side support then the original seats....

but for me, rahter have it original in white with blue.....

that restomod that looks really cool. i like the black\grey\chrome approach, if you have a frontal shot i'd like to see that as well. my two boys, 9 & 11 saw the pics & they too thought it was a really neat looking car.

don't get me wrong, i too prefer an original looking muscle car, however, if someones going to turn it into a street rod, this is a very nice example of the right way to do it....

Man I agree. I have seen pictures of that red trans am and the black one, and although they are cool for being "one of's" they just don't look right to me. An early second gen car with stripes should be either blue or white. JMO.

I dont like the Black either, it swallows up all the character/lines of the car.
the shiney grill tends to "flatten" out the point of the bumper.
IMO the seats dont fit the car, they are too square, especially the headrest.
The new 2 seater Solstice seats would be a better choice, they are the best modern"Retro" seat I've seen.
