![]() This is my '63 Grand Prix. Imported to Sweden in 2001 from California. When I bought it in May '01 it didn't run that good. Two speeds were missing in the transmission and the engine overheated. The air condition was gone and had a lousy paintjob. But it was a bargain and had no rust so I did a low budget restoration with the goal of having a daily driver. ![]() The original drivetrain is replaced with a '74 350" block with the original '63 heads and intake. I'm not sure where the carb comes from but it's a 2bbl Rochester. Waterpump, power steering pump and fan comes out of a '66 and the original transmission is replaced by a '71 TH400 which is operated by a shifter taken out of a '65 GP. I've added some scallops and pinstriping to the poor paintjob. It aint the prettiest car around but it's mine and I have fun with it. I use it almost daily in the summertime (salty roads in the winter) and I drive it for approx. 10-15,000 miles/year. I once raced (for fun) a '64 Mercury with a 390" and you can see in the link below how it turned out Dragracing in Lindesberg

That was Anders Fireball Hjelm in the video! Beating a big Ford 390 with a 350 is no small feat...
Thanks for posting the video Anders! |

Here's my 66 GP. 17 inch Coy's C-5 wheels, 389 four barrel, automatic. Will be tearing into the enginge this winter as I believe the oil pump is about done.

![]() I want to do something like that with my car. Shave and lower it. A mild custom... Good luck with the oilpump

Here's a couple pics of my '63, not done yet but it's getting closer. Lots of little things still to do, needs bumpers rechromed and a new interior. 389, TH400, long branches, front disk brakes, Ventura tri-tone, originally a CA car with no rust or patches. Hope to get the bugs worked over the next month or so and then put it in storage for the winter.

Yes, I love the '63 Cats. One of Pontiac's best looking ever, I think. Got to get one someday.

Here is my 65 Catalina. Put about 1600 miles on it this summer. Still have to get the skirts on the back and a few other things, but it is drivable. And no, I didn't cut the dash, that was the previous owner, unfortunately.
