I don't really think any of the D3 has enough positives over the others to be labelled "best". Just depends on what your PERSONAL desires are and where your loyalty lies. Personally, I'll still take a GM or Ford over Dodge, however, I think the NEW Dodges are no less capable than either Ford or GM. I still have a problem with SIXTEEN spark plugs in a V8 engine, though. And I've witnessed enough problems with higher mileage Hemis that I won't go near them.

Interior appointments appeals primarily to those who don't really use the truck as a TRUCK, and while important to some, does nothing to quantify those qualities that meet the criterior for which the truck was designed.

Bottom line is that all the truck makers use primarily the same suppliers for certain parts and the success or failure rate of those parts will be the same regardless of make. So buy what you like and you'll most likely be satisfied with it. They're all good now. But check out the 2014 GM trucks and you'll find that they've taken it up a notch or two.

When it comes to trucks - who pays anything close to the sticker price?

I don't know; that Ecoboost was my first new vehicle and all other trucks I owned previously were well used.
We got the wifes Saab 9-7x for much less with more options then a lesser equippied Cheby Trailblazer which was the same damn vehicle.

Default F-150

Just saw on the news today that the F-150 now out sells all other vehicles, including the Toyota Camry!

But, isn't GMC the saem truck as a Chevy, only with different trim?

I know when I bought both of my GMC trucks in '89 and '92, and even the '99 I own now, the Chevy trucks were being built by GMC truck division of General Motors at that time. Has anything changed?

The F150 AND the Chevy Silverado (by itself - without the GMC Sierra) have been outselling the Camry like forever....

Year to date, the Camry trails the Silverado by almost 28,000 sales. Truck sales are going up (Ford up 21.7%, Chevy up 23.9% and Ram up 22.7%) while Camry sales are going down (-5.5%) this year.

The Camry is currently (and has been frequently) the best selling car. But it's sales have rarely come close to that of the 2 of the Big 3's top selling pickup trucks.

I just bought a brand new 2013 Sierra 1500 extended cab Z71 4X4 with the 5.3 and 6 sp. AT. I love it. I am very pleased with it's initial quality, drivability, and power. I looked at the 2014's, and did not like that they did away with the suicide rear doors on the extended cab, the dramatic rise in price, and the styling, which does nothing for me.

Just rolled 200k on my 05 Tundra. In another 100k miles, I'll buy another Tundra.

Are the extended cabs on the lots yet up there. At the local dealers here, its just the 4 doors.

There are not a lot of them left. There were 6, and they are going fast. They discounted it over $11k. Got a $40k truck for high $28k.

Yes. It has the AFM, and it is getting disabled.

Oh, I meant 2014s.
Hopefully you get better fuel mileage than I do in my 2011 Ext. Cab 5.3 6-spd Z85 setup.
