Wonder if that doc is a reproduction though?

This is going back to the guy selling the 69 Canadian TA. I don't believe that the W62 is the code for the TA, that code is WS4. btw, I do think this is a real TA since if you look on the manifest sheet the options listed include WS4, I think the guy at GM Canada forgot to copy it onto his letter (what an option to forget!).

What doesn't help clarity is that it's hard to tell the difference on a smudgy manifest sheet between the WS4 TA and the W84 extra fuel that all canada destined cars had. The trick if it is hard to read is that any canada bound TA must have both WS4 and W84 showing!

As for W62, I can't find an explanation anywhere but I noticed that all 17 cars on that manifest have it. I suspect it is an alternate code to Y86 decor group or some other option group that was standard on Firebird but not on Camaro for example?

I think this car is a real gem. 79 Macho Trans AM 4-speed in Pennsylvania at $50K BIN with 73K miles. I was 17 in 79 and lived in Phoenix where you'd see these cars driving around town. All we knew about them was they had performance mods. The brown/white is my least favorite and looks better from the rear than the front IMO. The red/black cars are stunning, but splitting the hood with brown is meh. Beautiful car tho, and it's hard to find any flaws.

70 GTO LS3 5 Speed at $10K reserve not met in NC. Nice car, but prolly too much. For what this cost to build, I'd rather have a more original car.

What is with the rocker trim on the '70...doesn't instill confidence.

The dash and console look a bit too shiny, but that's a pretty car.

78 Trans AM in Georgia with 62K miles at $32K BIN. I've seen some sketch mods before, but this one is bucking for #1. Check out the speaker addition in the glove box.

At least he saved the dash?

Given the option of this or the previous T/A, I'd rather have this one. 80 turbo T/A Daytona 500 edition with 44K miles at $35K BIN. I love the interior on these cars. A lot of people don't know what's behind the extra red in the gauges on these cars. When you take them apart, there's a fluorescent red paint on the inside of the gauges that lights them up red at night. Could be done to any gauge set and you'd never know it until it was dark outside.

61 Pontiac Ventura bubbletop at $3K NR in Washington. No engine pics, but has a 389 2BBL. The interior looks nice, but the padded center console without a shifter looks somewhat odd.

79 Trans AM in Illinois at $12K BIN. That engine prolly cost that alone. I had a 70 GTO convertible 4-speed car in 1983 that had a dash fire. I went to the junkyard and bought a new dash and harness out of a 70 Lemans. Put that in a replaced the windshield and I was back on the road. It wasn't this bad, but if this was a rare car it would be worth fixing. A 79 T/A is easy to find and there's a lot of good parts on the car. No pics of the suspension.

68 Firebird 350HO 4-speed in Pennsylvania at $64K BIN. Rumor has it that two waterbeds were used to make the steering wheel. Nice enough car, but at a minimum $20K overpriced. The chrome hood springs and engine bling don't do anything for me, but they do add weight, so there's that. Interior is nice, but the carpet in the trunk looks sketch.
