I too reached out with no reply.
Rumor has it the car has an SR block which helps explain the replaced head. Also heard another rumor that the car has sold. I cannot validate just rumors?

Makes sense, that`s probably why he posted a pic of the casting number and not a engine code.
My guess is it dropped a valve and puked the engine.

Congrats to the new owner , and the previous original owner.

I agree that it looks like the new owner got a good deal. Absolutely love Admiralty Blue with the black interior. Automatic transmission with no AC is a combination I don't see too often. Makes this car even more unique. Congratulations to the new owner, I am just a little jealous.

Love the color combo.
I can't get over why so many were ordered without the rear spoiler.

The car was a legit SD

Car was extremely rough.

Looked good in the pictures
Maybe it was an older bondo restoration on a rough car - that was coming back to haunt.
Did anyone lay eyes on it at the auction ?

It is identical color/equipment to a car that was let rot real bad sitting in the NC Mountains years ago.
In the late 80's it was already a Real Mess - but complete and intact .
A couple of PY members in NC had seen it in person and had pictures of it.
Car could be bought for 5k , but nobody was brave enough.

Mecum Seller said the next owner needs tetnus shots before getting started on correcting it.

He could just be whining because the car sold so cheap. I don’t care how good of a photographer you are you can’t make a total pos look good.

Default '73 with cleaned up tires and rims

Finally got a chance to get to the storage unit and clean up the rims and tires. Makes a big difference in the appearance.
