It's a 400 R/A originally a rusty one about 7 years ago.
Looks like a lot of work into it.
Too bad they didn't have a pic of cowl tag.

RA car should have the hood without the 400 emblems, RA decals instead. Funny things like yellow paint all over the rear tubs too, no woodgrain on the dash on a custom interior car. Undercarriage looks great though.

PUI seat covers need some fix-A-flat on the uppers front and rear.
Restorer missed some key things that North mentioned.

Cool that the car is back to life.
If everything were right it would probably be worth the price.

Interesting past auctions. Agreed the rims subtract on a car like this. Looks better with the dog dish caps.

70 Firebird 400 with Ram Air at $3K NR in Las Vegas. It's a hot rod now, but I really like the interior.

Something doesn't smell right with that 70 GP.
I'm not up on Hurst SSJ cars too much , but the ones I have seen got billed to Hurst first invoice-
Then billed to a dealer and showed the upcharge for the conversion,
This one has no upcharge.

They made 272 of SSJ Hurst in 1970

The more normal SJ option was $244.14 , and that's what this one shows on the invoice.
Nothing about Hurst or SSJ

Hurst SSJ option added another $1147.25 to the invoice.
Part of that was an electric sunroof.

This one does appear to have the electric sunroof though , so idunno.

Here's a 'window sticker' for a SSJ GP that is on that list but doesn't show the Hurst option either?
Or is it in the price of the SJ?

I might be wrong but I thought that an SSJ couldn’t be built off an SJ but rather you needed a J model (because of SJ’s having painted pin stripes I think).

I have this for the 1971 which looks like you are correct. Don't know about 1970.
