Growing up across from a high school in 1970 That is "The LOOK," (My cup of tea !!) Makes me want to go get air shocks and a nice set of wheels for my car.

Have we now come full circle? Moved through the phase of perfect restorations back to the jacked up big tire Day 2 look?

MCACN is having a display of day 2 beauties.

So, I think it's a cycle in the progression of muscle cars. Some even restore cars to day 2...

My 71 Judge had ladder bars, glass packs, headers, Holley, MT, line lock..etc.

Even day 2 mods gets old...

I vote yes! Love that look and it was the way I rolled to the Homecoming game and dance in 1972, driving my buddy's Tropical Lime/Jade Green 71 GTO with Gabriel HiJackers and Ansen Sprint slotted mags, Hooker Headers, and Thrush Glass Packs. It was an automatic with AC. My dad was withholding the keys to my 71 LeMans at the time and I had a date with one of the cheerleaders. My buddy and his date double-dated with another couple in a 71 Olds 442 and he let me borrow his GTO. What a night!

The Centerline Racing Wheel look was all the rage back in the late 70's and early 80's.

I remember that car from the old Car craft street machine nationals in Indianapolis in 1978 when I took my old Judge when I was 17.

Here are pics of my 1970 GTO Judge from 1970 and 1971.

My Judge is one of the 288 GTO Judges built in Oshawa Ontario in 1970.

It is a Baja Gold, Brown interior, Ram Air III 400, M21 close ratio 4 speed, 3.90 Posi car.

Options beyond this are N41 Quick Ratio PS, Power Disc brakes, Hood tach, No dash gauges ,console, RWL Goodyear G70-14 Polyglas Tires ,Console and AM radio, No wheel lip molding car, and standard drivers door mirror.

Built to run, sold at Plaza Pontiac in Toronto Ontario. Original owner said he paid $5500 for it in August of 1970.

First pic shows the original owner in 1970 ,the young boy who looks 6 or 7 is the same age I was in 1970 so I love this pic.
Second pic is from 1970 camping.
Pics 3 and 4 are from 1971 all dressed up for a wedding, note the side burns on these guys and how nice and tight the dual exhaust splitters fit the rear valance cutouts.
