Great article. Even better story. If anyone is going to stumble across the first RAII bird....that is the perfect person.

Jim, awesome car, just beautiful. Let me know if you'd like a correct window sticker for that bad boy.

Great stuff - love the "As Raced" paint scheme - too bad they didn't restore it back to that.

Bid to $US 1,782.11 but didn't hit reserve. I did inquire, the owner did not have any flow numbers on the heads. That along with no shipping makes it a bit more difficult of a sale.

I agree on the no shipping!

I'm guessing no flow numbers because he didn't finish them, just bare cores with new guides &seals. I expected them to be pricey, and I would have bid, but local pick up only knocks that in the head. 2800 miles between me & him.

Hi John. didn't get to meet you. I wish everyone had name tags! I did meet Gary, beautiful cars he has. I also met Mark Cronk with his 69 Firebird. Great show, lots of nice cars.

Awesome pass, Rick!

That's what I call a 'small tire' car, none of these 9 inch slicks that are 12" wide like some of the other guys run.

Congrats and hoping for the 9 second pass.
