How about someone post some photos of the #96 high compression SD455 heads? Reportedly only 2 sets cast.

455 SD block differences
I recently built two different SD engines for two different customers. The first was a 73' SD engine and I noted it didn't have the transfer lug on the back of the block by the distributor. I also own a 73' SD car and it's the same way. When I was building the 74' SD block I noticed it DID have the transfer lug. I was under the impression that all SD engines didn't have the transfer lug. Has anyone else ran into this?

What was the date code on the 74 block?
Most I have seen seem to have the pyramid after 1974 cast date. (a lot of the 74 early year were still 1973 cast date)

Transfer Lug
Just saw this info posted on facebook about the transfer lug and which blocks received it. Seems the 73 didn't and but the 74 did.
