LOL!! What a screwed up combination to order......bare bones Judge with white stripe tires. Well, I definitely don't feel bad about not restoring to factory correct!

I will take a pic of the cowl tag and email you when I get a chance.

Thanks

Default 4 options

I thought I had a low option car. My PHS has: The Judge, ram air IV, PP raido, Floor Mats. I think that is all she has. I do wish it had more options but it is what it is a race car. In 69 if you wanted to race the car you didn't order it with all the options (weight)on the car. I'm still very lucky to have a car and glad I have one with the options that it does have. Thanks,

Chris

Hooch, That is a low optioned RA IV Judge. Wouldn't it have SAF-T-TR-HD or posi because of the RA-IV option? 3-sp? What color and condition? Sounds like a stripper!

HD Safe-T-Track was indeed a mandatory option with 3.90 and 4.33 gearsets.

Default sorry need to change it to 6?

Sorry, I'm a dumb a_ _. The only options that stick in my head on this car are the 4 that I listed. It has been a long time sense I looked at the phs. I will look tonight. It does have a 4 speed and a posi (390) I will look at how Pontiac lists them on the phs. Thanks,

Chris

In '69 GTO, only the 4.33 req'd S-T-T..base RAIV came std with 3.90 open (WK) code...optionally you could get STT on the 3.90 (XK)

When you special ordered a 3.90, then you'd get the S-T-T...

Neither have I(from the 20-30 or so I have seen) but I was referring to Diff Chart in the '69 Service Manual...Could they have changed it after it was printed (or was it a misprint)?

Well, here is the car that started this thread, and my latest addition.

I was wrong, it has 6 options in addition to The Judge: Console, 4spd., Radio P/B, Saf-T-Tr-HD, S/R Glass-W/S, and G70x14 WW FG.

P/S and P/B (Front Disc) have been added by a previous owner (which I would have done).

I will definitely add the following: Rally Guages & In-dash tach, Floor mats F&R and Tilt.

Will either change to AM/FM or have the existing AM converted to AM/FM internally.
May consider Custom Sport steering wheel.

Car is #'s matching drivetrain, carb. & alternator nom. Will acquire those as parts present themselves (and $ present themselves to my wallet).

Car is a very complete driver, but definitely needs some work to get it where I want it. For now, I'll just do the minor things, acquire parts, and drive it. Frame-off to begin in about 5 years +/-.

First thing on the list is to get those right side springs seated right...the right side is about 1.5" higher than the left. The left side looks correct, didn't have enough room to take a pic from that side.

dxeven, that is a nice Judge! Numbers matching is the best feature. Can always add options and features. Are the panels original? Hows the interior?

Chris, your six options are all good too. Details please if you will....

Thanks guys,
It is 72 72 with black interior.
I'm not sure how to post pictures. It is at a friend’s shop getting a total frame off, Paul is letting me and my boys do some of the work. I trust Paul and he will see that this project will be done correctly. http://www.fastrestorations.com/page3.html
I didn't get the drivetrain with the car it was discarded in 1973. It was a 3rd owner car from Michigan (the U P )

Thanks for your interest in my car.

Chris

Looks like your car is in the right hands. From the pics of the cars on his site, Paul doesn't seem to be the least bid scared of panel replacement. Good luck and keep us posted on progress.

According to seller, motor hasn't been rebuilt, shows about 95K on the clock. I'm going through piles of receipts from previous owners (I'm 4th owner) to see if that's accurate, so far appears to be.

All panels are original with the exception of a patch in the RR quarter, visible from inside the trunk. Overall, the body is fairly clean. Car spent its life in Seattle, Carlsbad, NM, back to Seattle, and the last 4 years in CO. The paint isn't bad except for the endura bumper, but the body/prep work underneath wasn't the best (sanding scratches, missed a few small dings, etc.)

The interior is what I'd classified as decent. Seats are original and need cleaning and new chrome piping. Carpet looks original and needs to be replaced (maybe a build sheet under there?). Door panels are great, arm rests need redone. Console is good, lid needs redone. Headliner is good, sail panels need attention. The worst thing is someone put aftermarket guages above the heater controls (where the GTO emblem is). They actually did a clean job, but those will get removed/dash redone eventually.
I'm guessing I should have a GTO emblem (3C build date), are those repopped?

No, they were deleted around Mid Feb/69...some still got them a few weeks after depending on plant/supply left over...Pretty sure 3C was pretty late in the game to still get them...
