I figured you new the color, just wanted your thoughts on keeping original color or not. I just started my project too! You might have already found this link but I need cloth for my project and this is where I found it http://www.smsautofabrics.com/result...5B%5D=C&rpp=12 they also have vinyl.

Hope it turns out to be a GT-37, rare find. Good luck with your project!!

I have an entire series of GT-37 pics from the Pepin, WI auction May 2009. Hood pin plate screws were countersunk. Can share if interested.

haahah , I thought that was you mark. Like you, always looking for a good deal...I forgot to show you the doors I had from that 70. They were in one of those other cars. Don't know if door panels would work or not, or if they are close to the pattern. Not sure of the color, I will have to look. They are coupe doors, so panels are different, right?

Oh, speaking of 428's, I just brought one home last weekend. It's from a 2+2, '67. It was a manual car, still has the bell housing on it. The chrome valve covers were mint on it. Covered in oil...nice protective coating! LOL Even has original dated 66 plug wires on it. Engine is stuck, I've had it soaking in Diesel for a few years at my in laws barn, finally brought it back last week.

I have a way to break it loose..and it works fast...i just saved a 377 stroker thats was under water in a boat it had some serious parts in it..and everyone gave it up as junk..i had it broke loose in 3 days...and didnt break the pistons or the cylinder..and it was stuck and rusty tight!!!!....call me ill tell ya how i did it..mark 317 945 2568

actually the door panels are different from a hardtop to a coupe...not just the sail panels the coupe panels are notched to clear the door frames...id like to find an original set to get some made...

Have you ever used North County auto trim..if you havent you need to find them..they are fast do perfect work, and can make alot of stuff from scratch....they did a buddies chevelle amd WOW..beautiful..and better than any aftermarket stuff..

Some of the photo links are broken, but sounds like you have a nice selection of 37s and parts cars!

Kurt, sure post away. I'm interested.

I was finally able to get some pics of the plates and screws from my car

the matching bolt for the lanyard on the driver side is missing, so I need to find a correct bolt for it. along with the small bracket it bolts to above the grill

What does the hole in the hood look like fron the bottom?

Wow those are different than mine..and they look just like MOPAR scuff plates...

ive seen those screws/bolts for the lanyards before...i have some they are on AMCs..i have 2 5 gallon buckets with nothing but AMC bolts...that screw holds a grill or grill bracket in and has the same marks..when i can, i will find ya one...or a couple dozen..lol(yes i hoard bolts...i have 2 dozen buckets with nothing but bolts..organized to make and model just not sorted)

I did some research,(my buddy owns a resto parts store) and mopar lanyards intended for an A BODY..like a dart or duster are identicle to mine and are the same length..17 inches...and the layard ends are a perfect match...it would make sense to use parts already available...

thanks mark!!!! I have a bunch of buckets and cans of bolts too, but I'm say 20% organized. or at least how I'd like it to be organized. most of my stuff is Olds though since I have a few of those.

funny thing, earlier today I was searching some mopar restoration places online for hood pins kits. yep, the plates and screws are identical to mopar stuff. I saw they offered 3 lengths of lanyards, 18", 23" and a longer that I can't recall right now. One place sells the pieces seperate. I'd need to look again to find that place. I know next to nothing about mopars. they have some neat cars and some that well "only a mother could love", but I've concentrated on Olds and Pontiac.

I replaced the hood. There was a GTO hood on the car when I bought it. I replaced it with a correct flat hood shortly after buying it and just made the holes so I have no clue what they are supposed to look like from the factory

Those screws and gaskets look exactly like the 2 factory GT-37 hood pin setups I have.

I picked up a parts car, for 300 bux...sold the bucket seats out of it for 400..I started looking at the car, and noticed how rusty it was, except for the passenger 1/4...got to looking and somone put an NOS 1/4 on it sometime in its life, the sticker is still on it on the inside..the 1/4 is barely on there, with about 10 brass spots...so the 1/4 is coming off..its a BONUS..lol..although my car doesnt need a 1/4..
