Forget July. Let's make May and August the TWO biggest and baddest Pontiac events one "MUST" attend.
I would rather put all the effort into 2 major events then 6 screwed up smallerones. LOL. Pluis the price of gas and time away for most people. How about a heads up open class like Jim Butler puts on at Norwalk. Think he might be interested in doing it at VMP too??? Jim, If ya want to set up a 2 or 3 car Match race for VMP, Let me know, if it will fit into the schedule. Ray Challenged me to a $2,000 winner take all and your deal would be the best place to do it. You too Lil' Jack. If ya want to be a playa, dog. Besides, it would give Ray a chance/and time to try and find that HP and hook he seems to not know where it is. He's already spend 7 months since January lookin. LOL.

Sheesh, Amy. You left my name off the list and I'm one of the biggest mouths here.
I'm with Ken. Jim has enough to chew on with the VMP event, so I'd concentrate on making that one the premier spring event.

Amy.....Your bad!!
I've been outback picking up piles of grass that I am trying to catch up on since before I left Norwalk for the last 2 hours. Just me and the crickets. Plus a call from Rod Oke (always great to talk to you Rod!). Got numerous thoughts running thru my head. The first one was to schedule a Pontiac day at Cecil the same day as Maple Grove.

Yep. You are right Amy. I will never go back to MG. I got the shaft with the Pontiac race and the Nostalgia race last year. I don't need any more BS. The difference between Beaver Springs and MG are like night and day............and MG is soppose to big "The Big Track".
I am realy looking forward to Paul's deal at ATCO. JIm I am behind you 100%. I am not a big deal but it is a big deal how I am treated...

Since Paul moved his event to Sept. lets see if we can increase the car count. If we can get rid of everybody else maybe we can have 3 big events per year. Atco in Nov. is a little bitter.

Well where to begin. I bracket race just about every week. Ive been to tracks all over the united states and I have never been to a race that was so messed up so unorganized. I went 4 rounds only 5 cars left jeff and I were the only pontiacs left. But as luck would have it the car burped off the line and I could not run my number but thats racing!!!!!!!!!! So u would think I would get paid something. Nope only winner and runner up. So that was a waste of a day. If i knew that i would of went home right after jim zeek left! But that won't happen again I wont be back unless NHRA puts on the race. Well lets look forward to ATCO that track has always been good to me.Jim I hope you make the VA race bigger and better next year we need a well run race on the east coast!!!!!!!!!! thanks |

I'll be at Paul's in September and Jim's in May next year. I promise to have a good clutch Jim!(non stinky/smokey). Man, I tasted metal for days. LOL - the beer helped though.

Thanks guys for the congrats.I was glad to win after my problems at Norwalk. When I lost at Norwalk on Sunday,I told myself and my friends that I was going to win at the Grove. There was no way I was going to do anything stupid and lose.I didn't ask about round money, because to me $30,$60,$90 round money is nice for dinner but it won't put a dent in the expenses I have paid to race.Don't get me wrong,I like getting the money if I lose 3rd or 4th round but if you can win the race and get more of a payout, thats sweet. The payout was low at the Grove, but it was only a 6 round race.Around here,a 7 round race pays $1,000 with a $41 entry.Round money begins with 3rd round loser getting $30.Each round adds $30 until the finals.

Amy - thank god Pops wasn't at the grove - he would have hurt someone.
JACK - let everyone know what your wife heard over the PA system at MG. Congrats to Jeff Verdi!!! nice talking with you as well. Jeff - your correct in that you need to get all your are entitled to. I would contact Butler and PY (the sponsors) on your $450 plus extra awards and certificates THAT ARE ADVERTISED that you would win for the PONTIAC event that was rescheduled. The money you won was for the NOSTALGIA race. You deserve it. Jack Gaydosh should also get paid - and so should others that Maplegrove and Butler ADVERTISED as purse wins!!!! Sounds pretty "legal" to me! How is HPP supposed to cover this event?? As for banding together - watch me Ken - ya aint seen nuttin. Jim Z has an awesome thing at VMP going for the spring - it will be huge, I can already tell. I am already working on a 2 day summer Pontiac event for next year (it may not be Atco either). Bob (shotgun) already gave its name to me - Renegade Pontiac Nationals. If Maplegrove announces a Pontiac event for next year - my event will be that same day(weekend). I'm dead serious. The GTO club that runs the Atco event is not happy. As richie mentioned, Atco already rescheduled a motorcycle race for the Pontiac event. In Atco's defense, a GM rep fell through on a $10,000 sponsorship fund - so Atco is paying out the money that is advertised on the flyers. But still, they also said we would not have any other events on our day. Its ok, the Pontiac community is becoming a strong force - it will all work out. The Keystone POCI chapter that does the Maplegrove event really does a nice job - so I'll contact them to see if we can work together with the old goat club. keep kicking me - only makes me stronger

You've got a great foundation started there! Let me know what I can do to help you. Mongo: Didn't mean to leave you out, but I listed the people who put it in writing themselves. Not for me to ASS-U-ME or read between the lines. Paul: The Renegade Pontiac Nationals - You are something else!! Looking forward to hearing more. Jeff: Congrats on your win. Please post what you find out about your prizes. On one hand, there was no "Pontiac" race so I can see the sponsor's point of view - they were putting up $$$ for a Pontiac event. On the other hand, this was the make-up event (however lame) and you should get all the winnings that were promised. Should be very interesting to see how this all gets explained. Good luck!
