OK Tripower, you got me...

My point is that it is not a foregone conclusion that the Pontiac GTO name HAD to be reused. Bring the car, yes... Just leave the GTO name on the shelf for a while longer... That in and of itself backfired as a marketing trick... It was not a draw to most of the buyers, and angered many of us "old School" types. Overall it went negative as a strategy.

I agree 100%. I wish they had called it something else. IMHO, the new one is the perfect Grand Prix or even Grand Am. I still bought one, since it's really a nice car.

Npw why couldn't they taken the pipes out of seperate sides? That's my point.

You mean the trunk mounted gas tank? It looks plenty clear to me, but I will look at a friend of mine's again this week...
