Default convertible 115 top down windows up

back in 89 the same 70 lemans i have now, looked pretty good and was my daily driver. on a trip from my hometown of wooster to bethany college in wv, i was heading east on i-70 in ohio, 3 or so in the afternoon, they had just repaved within a few months and the road was smooth. with ohio being a hard state to speed in [hello ohio troopers from jay in colorado] i was semi reluctantly cruising high speed with the top down, windows up.at about 90 mph, a brand new berreta gtu passes me like i'm going 55. at the time i had a 400 2 barrel and a 350 auto. got the convertible up to 115. we played leap frog for about 40 miles. 95-115 then reverse. between the wind and the grip i had on the steering wheel, i thought i was gonna have a heart attack. most fun i have had driving to be honest. after he got off highway i put the top up and tried to get it up to top speed to see if i could do better, but at about 95 the top would pound against my head like snow shovel. driving with windows down above 70, top up or down was a lesson in deafness will soon be trying this again in co, so should be fun-er.
