Did anybody see the 70 ram air 4 judge in hpp magazine this month. The artical states that it was the advertising car from 1970. I read the story on this rare car and the owner admits to re-cliping this car. After I read that, I had a different view of the car. He saved it because it was very rare. He has also won awards for this car the add says. So how bad was this car before resto? Was it as bad as the 69 on e-bay?
We may never know.
I am not knocking the guy who own's that 70 at all. Just stating that anything is possible no matter how rusted it is. You might get your pic's in a magazine too.

Back to the 70 in this months HPP. In the original magazine add it shows the 70 on the street with a black hood tach, black wing and the supposed original add car is restored with a body color hood tach. Am I seeing things incorrectly ? If the topic of the story is to showcase this original add car, should it not be accurate. Beautiful car none the less and I would be very pleased and proud to own it.

Nothing wrong with a rebody....how many people buy rusted out pos cars and replace it with sheetmetal from Taiwan. So what's the difference if someone uses a lemans with original metal?

I remember that fine Judge from Norwalk a couple of years ago. What a peach. And if I remember right-owner was in the 12-15k range? That car is rougher than a WEEK in jail!!! lol

I never asked the price. 12K is insane for that POS. He could have put all the good parts (VIN and trim tags) in an envelope and saved towing the rest of that sorry carcass to the swap.

It did have a crowd around it all day-kind of like everyone standing around a crash! I think it did have the original drive train still in it. You could look inside the trunk-what was left of it-WITHOUT opening the trunk lid.

If I remember correctly the interior looked to be in really nice shape. If it wasn't a Judge it would have been a $500 parts car at best.

That is one rough Judge. I did see a rougher one back in the early 90's. Maybe BVZ or Bet Winner saw it. It was at Ronny Palmer's place. It had been stolen and stripped. All that was left was the firewall, dash, driver's door and floors. Still had the ram air cable hanging. It also had the trim tag still in place. Carousel Red. Sad!

From the amount of dust on it-looks like its time for you to go to work on that one.

Circa 1983: Passed-up a 1969 Ram Air IV Judge 4-speed, 3:90rear, in the Junkyard (for $1200) because it was in 2foot of swamp mud & rusted to the fender tops. Yea, all was there including the Ram air system EXCEPT the IV motor was replaced with a 400 wagon motor.

equally difficult resto as this thread's feature rust bucket.
