Really interested in racing there. Is there showers at the track and how nice are they? Also will they be running 1/8th or quarter mile? I know they run alot of 1/8th at that track.

Two bath houses and a laundromat located in the campgrounds - "Voted one of the top five campgrounds in the State of Kentucky"

They will be running 1/4 mile.

You'll be impressed with the facility -

Default Track camping?

Does anybody know if you can camp at the track or do you need to move to the campgrounds?

There's a river just a few feet from the pits.

I will need to change the gears in my car as well to run a 1/4. I will probaly just leave them in until after Norwalk. I am excited to get the car out there if I can get the engine back together and in the car in time. Its a shame that I only live about 3 hours from Beech Bend and have never been. I am thinking of going there during Thanksgiving weekend as well as they have a $10,000 a day race for three days.

Nothing to speak of. Still getting some seat time and sorting out a few gremlins. Gonna take it easy until feel prefectly comfortable in it. Too much time and money to do something stupid right from the get go......

I am going to be in New Albany, IN during this event and would like to go, but can only go down for one day. What do you guys think would be the best day?

Thanks,

Robert

I'll be there at least one of the days. Hope I have the rear end in Debs car done so we can make a few passes. If not we are spectating.

As of now we're planning on being there Friday and Saturday. Is everyone planning on leaving there cars at the track on Friday night or loading them up and taking them back to the hotel at night?

Our crew is all staying at the track Friday night. Seem to have more fun staying at the track hanging out with everyone having a few beers(similar to Norwalk).

That is what we were planning to do also. But Dave Bennett said that the pits have to be empty out friday night because they have a circle track race that night and they need the pits for that. Not sure what we are going to do if we can't stay in the pits.

I'll be at Beech Bend this week participating in the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion, and will be meeting with the track owner. I'll find out for sure, and post up. The campgrounds are adjacent to the pits, and will be available.

Be nice to know for sure about the pit situation. At least they have the camp grounds close.
