I was told that a couple times, but I have a buddy who still works at a GMC dealership and hes had it in his truck for 4 years and no issues..
The expansion doesnt seem to affect the ABS..
I will keep an eye on it though..

I agree with cavitation, could be that units are failing and sucking air and it could be that the seals in the ABS unit starting to fail. I have been noticing that when the lines start getting very little outer corrosion they are failing, in older non ABS brake systems the lines can get quite thin before they fail. The older systems most times failed in a panic stop situation, when ABS comes on its like a whole bunch of panic stops in succession. I'm guessing if manufacturers are truly concerned about safety they may need heavier wall thickness and maybe a rethink about materials used in manufacture. There could be quite a few ramifications for cars and trucks already in the field.

The pulsing of the ABS could be a factor, but those lines on my 03 were very thin after rusting away. I've driven in the NE for 35 years and have never seen rust progress on lines so quickly through the walls. Seeing the rust to the master cylinder is also something I've never seen. I've seen some similar vintage GMs and they are not all the same. This may sound nuts, but I almost thought that truck had electrically induced galvanic corrosion, if that's possible. Rear bumper rusted in the first month. Exh manifold heat shields rusted off several times under warranty. Heck, the tranny dipstick handle rusted off!

One shop replaced some lines for me with what I believe was a nickel copper alloy and designed for brake lines. Easy to bend and form. I had no problems with them for 5 years and they still looked good.

the other scary part of this is the ABS unit is under the seat on these.

I now have 2 spare ABS units for C and K trucks due to the Escalade having traction control and none of the other C and K trucks do.
