i assume that you would just post it if it made a huge number. If it made901 at 6100 then did it make 1100 at 8000? you guys kill me.

Good question! Q16 Fuel? Keeping it fat to keep it cool? Maybe it's going on a chassis dyno next? Could be jetted for a lower alt. I believe Mondello's is at or above a couple thousand feet alt.

Damn... I take a vacation and I got to come back and be referee??? How about posting the before porting dyno numbers? Then show real results of what porting alone (yes porting ONLY no cam or carb changes etc..) did for this combo. I KNOW the peak HP went a whole bunch higher than 902 just from the porting. So... post it. Then tune it and post again.

BTW Jack, you did notice these are tiger heads right?

... the combo made 824hp @ 7100rpm, and almost 720lbs.ft. at 5,500rpm ... previously ... and the engine has now picked up well over 100hp and well over 50lbs.ft. at almost the same curve/peaks, the port sizing was kept as close to the original setup as i could manage, and still get the area and shape i needed in the head, but the customer was very specific about not wanting to turn the engine any higher than before ... so it was a bit of a hand-cuff situation, but i looked forward to the challenge ...
... we are making some changes and will retest soon, due to the weather that day not working in our favor, as it was raining most of the day ... ... humidty was high as well as the DA ...
... but we are very pleased with the results so far ... we are also trying to get one of my carbs on there, because we did do a short pull with one of my other carbs here at the shop and the engine responded well, it was very sharp and responsive down low, but the tune for that carb is not adequate for this engine ...
... once completed we will post the results ...

Yes, if they were CV1s I'm pretty sure it would not made that kind of power.
