If it was 10 years ago, I'd be more apt to initiate a project on my own. At this time, I will continue to work with goodmark if they continue on the planned path. |

Damn, I recall the original discussions on the forum and I was certainly one that jumped on purchasing this part when it was first released and ended up paying $420.
Although that sucks I realized I overpaid now and basically paid for what others are now benefitting from. . I'm at least happy the hobby has this part. I just might not be the first out of the gate to buy a new part second time around. Anyway SD7369, thanks for your efforts developing this part. No doubt these types of parts are saving cars from being parted or crushed.

I only wish the tail pan would have came out sooner, I paid big bucks for an NOS one, Only for them to come out three years later. The reproduction looks thicker gauge metal to me, And it looks like a very quality part. I then also bought the drop off as soon as they came out, paid more than they are selling for now.
But now I can save a car, without cutting up another one.

Obviously this seems to be a new pricing structure on this part but PYs Aug 2012 Catalog lists them at $389 . . wonder if they will honor their price match gaurantee policy on this??
I always buy thru PY first; however, at this price they might not want my business :/

It was a lot of work but the new panel fit like a good shoe. Only minor manipulation required

Thanks Weranc55. 10 years ago this car looked similar to the one in your avatar. This was the biggest project I've done on the car so far. After replacing the lower trunk panel that the hinges weld to, I was inspired to take on this project. The biggest problem I had was getting my gaps right at the lower sides where it meets the lower quarter panel. It wasn'nt right to start with so I don't even think it was an issue with the new tail panel. Very pleased with the Goodmark tail panel. i mentioned the lower trunk panel, it was an AMD part and was also an excellent fit. If I remember right the only issue i had with it was a couple screw holes were drilled just slightly off. If you guys want to know more about that project let me know and i'll post some pics of it.
