If your Cat pad was originally a full pad and not a half pad it will work fine. Otherwise remove the metal half and it should then work fine.

If you only have the partially padded - do you still have the bolt that goes up under the cowl?

The pad I pulled has a long stud that went through the firewall. My 2+2 has a full pad.

Then you should be good with any full pads from the other models.

When I called them last year, I told them I was a returning satisfied customer. I told them it was a 1962 Catalina with a full basically flat dash pad with a speaker cutout and defroster cutouts. Then I sent them some digital pics. When I called back they said $1900.00 basic restoration of the pad, $150.00-200.00 for color match dye. $150-200 for shipping both ways and insurance. That sounds like close to $2500.00. (Actually $2300.00) Anyway, about double what I am willing to pay at this point. Interestingly, just Monday I took the pad to a local trim shop. I saw a custom interior he did on a 69 Firebird at the Trans AM Nationals. Although I am not a custom interior guy, the work he did on that car was just so tasteful and of impeccable quality. His work has won 2 Riddler awards over the years in street rods. He has also sent some pads to Just Dash's and said since they are the only game in town, their prices have gone out of sight. Anyway, he is going to attempt to recover my pad over the winter. I'll post some pics when it's done. All I know right now is it will be much more within my budget. But it will not be vacuum formed.

Just for what its worth, I'll bring back this thread from 2014 when I had my '65 A/C dash done.
http://www.forums.maxperformanceinc....highlight=dash My posts on this are down on page 4. I gave my guy a call today to check on what he is charging. A$730.00 now which is roughly US$540.00 depending on "The Fed". Allowing for postage to and from, I think it could still be viable for you guys. I am SUPER IMPRESSED with the job they did for me. Happy to help if I can Ian

That pad of yours came out very nice indeed. If I could get one in that condition for a Grand, I would be all in. The issue with the older pads, pre-1964, I think, is those pads have no core metal all the way to the windshield side. So that means the core stops about 2 inches from the windshield and its just foam and vinyl. That makes that front edge very hard to finish and/or recover. Yours looks great. See a few pics of what I mean about no core.

My guy says it can be done. That's all I can say. And if it's available it's nos original color material.

I very much appreciate the offer and taking the time to show it to your folks. Price is great too. The local guy I found doesn't seem too scared about giving mine a try and I looked at a few others he had in his shop. A 71 Maverick, a Rover car of some type and a 72 Chevelle. Those 3 pads looked good to me. If things don't work out which is always possible, I will try again. I have 2 cores.

I am bringing this thread back up because I picked-up my recovered dash pad yesterday. I took about 4 months to get it as I made it clear I was not in a hurry in the Ohio winter. Took it in the 1st week of November and checked on it a few times. I have not installed it yet but did test fit it before he covered it after rebuilding what was left of the core. Is it absolutely perfect? No. But it looks very nice to me . He had no vacuum forming capability and heated and hand stretched the vinyl. It think if it fits well it would pass muster in a local show for sure and do OK in a more serious show. It's light years better than what I had for about 1/3 the cost of having it done by Just Dash's. And their stuff isn't perfect either if the core is crap like mine was. If you look at the underside pic, all the white material is new grafted closed cell foam that had to be added to what was left of the original core. Then a multitude of cracks filled-in. Then a thin layer of closed cell over the entire pad. Then the vinyl. If it fits nice, I am very pleased. Once in the car, and verified that it fits properly, I will share the shop's information if anyone is interested. I also have enough vinyl left to do at least 1 more pad this size. PM me if you are interested in purchasing the vinyl.. I will make you a deal.
