My warp - 6 heads are advertised 460 cfm as cast nothing but a gasket match . My 541 dynoed 1025 at 7500 rpm . I was quite impressed . They are back at Kauffmans shop to be cnc ported in preparation for the new aluminum block 535 . Don't know it I will dyno this spring or fall once race saeson is here it'll hit the track

Yes & No it started off as a Billet then KRE casted it! Right now its the Best flowing head out there! Also the Quickest/FASTEST right now.......but that could change Boss Birds RA5 are charging hard!! GTO George |

Thank You John Langer, for the post. I did the math on the numbers this morning and was a bit surprised at how efficient
the SUPER WEDGE heads were (making that much Horsepower) for EACH of those 450 cfm of air. Thanks for the clarification. Tom V.

It won't... you need around 460-480 cfm to make 1200 hp na on a 565" Pontiac. I can say I have a dyno sheet that says I make 1500hp but if I don't run the number did I really make 1500 hp?

So, since you answered with what seems to be an inaccurate calculator.
I'll ask you this way .... whether you believe the dyno sheet or not. Doesn't the on track performance back up the HP claim? You can answer correctly or let it go .... |

Then we multiply by the efficiency factor (1.1, 1.15, 2.0, 2.5, etc) So in this case using Langer's number for CFM we get 2 times 480 cfm = 960 HP TIMES 1.25 efficiency factor and we get 1200 horsepower. If we do the same calculation again for the 1300 hp number: we get 2 times 480 cfm = 960 HP TIMES 1.35 we get slightly under 1300 hp. 1.35 is a bit of a stretch for typical engine. If we do the same calculation again for the 1300 hp number: we get 2 times 414 cfm = 828 HP TIMES 1.45 (NOT A TYPO) we get slightly over 1200 hp. ( 1200.6) You have to have a really good set-up to generate that type of multiplier number. I tend to go with Langer's statement. Tom V.
