A new Shell station opened 5 miles north of me a couple months back. Imagine my surprise when I rolled up for fuel the first time and noticed the sign, "Racing Fuel This Pump" and a separate handle for 110 Octane!!



But then I remembered... this station is also 5 miles outside the entrance to Lake Pleasant where a lot of, shall we say, high performance and non emission compliant boats like to run.

Oh, and the price? Yeah, 110 Octane is $10/gallon. But I digress...

Needless to say, I'm thrilled just to have the option!!

Yep, they've sold 110 at the pumps right outside Wildhorse for years at the Loves truck stop, and for years it's been the same price.........$10 a gallon.

I've been told there is another station in Scottsdale just around the corner from Westworld that sells 110 octane. My neighbor drives all the way down there just to fill 5 gallon cans so he can dump it in his car up here in Prescott, where we have no high octane fuel available anywhere. I personally think he's crazy LOL.

Yep I jump off the 17 at New River and cut through there all the time taking the back way when I need to get to the north glendale peoria area, turns into 83rd.
