I see. So you grounded it directly to the aluminum head and ran the charging lead directly to the positive post on the battery. Thanks

I checked it cold when I installed the starter . But I don't think thats an issue because when it's hot I can easily start it by using my jumper box

Yes,
The flywheel grows when it gets hot. So does the block, on which the starter is mounted.
