It is a Tempest tail panel - they had more ribs than the LeMans / GTO tail panel.

Would you pay 45K for a 66 Tempest? https://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/c...820826377.html

One of the 8 convertibles, or more likely a clone?
Are clones worth this much? https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/c...820043210.html

A clone done nicely is worth that, especially a convertible.
A real one will sell for $1M+ fully restored. I have a 69 clone hardtop that is just in okay shape and have been offered pretty decent money for it. They are attractive cars that even non pontiac people like. Side note- I have always been torn on the hood tach on this hood. I love the hood tach and have them on all of my GTO’s but for some reason I don’t think a 69 TA hood leaves enough room for it |

I have seen a lot of real '69 Trans Ams and I have not seen a hood tach on any of them. All that I have seen have the in-dash tach with the stacked gauges.
