You guys are so luckey. Us poor folks out in the manure belt are lucky to have
one a month.

I know that in the Cleveland/Akron/Canton area you can attend 3 to 5 a night!

( see http://www.cruisintimes.org/ )

Took one of our Hemi Dusters to Brunswick (just west of Cleveland) one time and
there were a thousand cars that overflowed into two other large mall parking lots
a mile in either direction.

Talked to a retired guy who had a perfect red '63 Max-Wedge Savoy and he said
that all he did was go to a different cruise, 7 nights a week, from March to October.

Here I found this from earlier this summer at Pasteiner's Auto Zone. My Verdoro Green 1968 GTO Bobcat Convertible is pictured with top up. The red Cobra behind the wall is owned by a retired Ford exec with a left false leg. So it is an automatic with a powerful 427 side oiler. The silver Pantera is another retired Ford Exec.

The Red Mangusta however was once owned by the late GM Head of Design Bill MItchell. It is currently owned by another retired GM Desinger Dick Maston. The car is Chevy powered from the factory in Italy. Bill Mitchell had a 327/ 350HP engine sent to them for installation before it was shipped to USA.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/bossmus...7629803647296/

I know there is a Youtube of Pastieners Auto Zone. Or some other combo for Saturday morning. I know I had the Black bird there a few times as well as the GTO and my yellow C5 Z06, witch is in the Auto Zone site just past the silver 1933 Rolls Royce.

Enjoy

Thanks for the Flickr link.

Here's where we go....about a half mile west of 223 at the
Central Avenue exit in Toledo (45 minute drive north for me)
at the Tim Horton's the second Sunday of the month.

That's great stuff.

I found the name used most by Pasteiner Auto Zone. Google: Caffeine, Cars and Croissants.

What, Dr Eric? You're driving a Z06 to Cars & Coffee....and not a Pontiac!

Opps......I usually don't take a Hemi Mopar either.......

Are we getting old?

But not too old to apprechiate modern muscle.
The Pontiac's stay home on the hot days. Even when we go to the track on a hot days. It is so much nicer to use the air to and from the track and in the stagging lanes. LOL

Ahh...the fruits of growing old.

Doc,
Nice collection. Is that a '71 or 72 LT-1 Vette? I'm assuming that the 1974 Camaro is a Z28. We had a 1974 Type LT. It was my wives car.

I almost bought a new 944 in 1984 because I liked the design but instead bought a 1984 Vette with the Z51 suspension. That was after I had given back my 1984 Z28 5.0 HO to GM. What a "Lemon" that car was.

The BMW looks to be a 7 series. Nice ride!

I'm guessing the truck is for towing and getting through the snow.

Say...wait a minute. What is with all the GM products?

You're alright by me....I like people with open minds and like cars of all makes. I'll try to find time to post some of my old stuff.

Still can't figure out how you guys put the pictures up like this...LOL

Smile Norwalk Friday 2012

Yesterday, Friday, took a quick trip to Norwalk with my wife and John "Cheater"aka "Mystery Tiger" Politzer. Took Jim Wangers, Dave Anderson and Jim Taylor to dinner.

On the show field we found a 1967 GTO white, black top and red interior like the two GTO's used in the "GTO Switch".

If I could ever figure out why I can't up load these picture, due to too large a file note, I'd post them.

I really have to find some 10 year old to do this for em...LOL

That is John Nicholas' T/A. John had been featured in "Pontiac Enthusiast" magazine a few years ago. John had 3 or 4 T/A SD 455's at the same time. All of them are bone stock.

Cool - Thanks - Have seen a few that were tricked to 1970 standards - higher compression etc. that would take no back seat to anyone - this is mine from the early 80's - setup to HO Racings specs - 450 HP - Wish I still had it - your thoughts .

Got caught in the background of a Dream Cruise 2012 photo. In the Grand Prix; apparently from Wednesday evening:

I apologize for posting this link to a Camaro site but there are a ton of nice Pontiacs represented in here -

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=244037

Thanks, Tenney for pointing this out to me (...all the way from Southern California).

Default Some of my old cars

Pictures in no particluar order.
My 1961 Chevy Impala Convertible approx, 1968, 348/350HP, 4.11, fiberglass front fender (That is why no chrome on top of fender) Taken in a friend of mine's driveway on Hendri at Concord in Huntington Woods two blocks from Woodward ave for thise who want to google and see how close we lived to Woodward Ave.

My 1961 Jag Mark II 3.8 with my 61 in background approx 1968

My 1965 GTO 421 tri-power,3.90 1969.

My 1957 Corvette 283/270HP,3 spd with 4.11 rear approx, 1971-72

My 1971 Nova 350/425HP, 3 speed 3.73 rear 1971 - 1975

These are the few I drove the most. You have to remember my family owned scrap yards, auto parts stores, gas stations, tire store and gas stations. I would have cars for a day or so that would be sold in a day or two....

Oh, by the way most of these were taken in front of my parents home in West Bloomfield, MI at Maple Rd (15 Mile Rd) and Middlebelt.

The reason I am giving these cities, Huntington Woods and West Bloomfield, is to show you how close I lived from Woodward Ave and much of the action.

Default Old stuff

Some more cars I had when I went onto grad school and marriage. I could not find the pictures of the 1969 Camaro that we sold when we got the 1974 Camaro.

While attending grad school in St. Louis, 1976- 1979, Janis and I had a couple of yellow f-bodies. She with a 1974 Camaro Type LT and I a 1976 Trans Am 455 4-speed.

While there we traded in her car for a new 1977 Grand Prix T-top car.

Back in Detroit and now with kids. I just couldn't have an average family truckster. I had a new 1987 Taurus customized with ground effects and blacked out windows. While I got drove a 1984 Z-51 Vette. I could not fit two kids in one bucket seat any more. Plus I had to trailer a 3,500 lb boat or a race car. So the fun daily drivers had to go.

Throw in a few other new daily drivers to replace the Vette: 1986 Mustang GT 5.0, 5 speed convertible, a 1997 Trans Am convertble and 1999 Mustang Anniversary GTO 5 speed convertible.

I natually skiped over the family type cars, a couple of Toronado's, Lincolns. Then the tow vehicals: full size Bronco and Expeditions. There were a few GTO's I bought and sold over the last 20 - 30 years as well.
