Danica is the most annoying woman on the planet. And don't get me going to on godaddy commercials. She wasn't hot when she was 21.

I thought I heard something like that, but said to myself - no I must be mistaken and heard wrong? Apparently not. Too funny really, all things considered with the happenings @ Talladega...

How much longer before "The Rose Is Off The Bloom" for Stenhouse regarding the "Go Daddy" chicklet?
Perhaps Sometime soon...

Last summer, Danica came to NH, and needed a place to stay. So we hung-out at my house, cooked on the grill and drank some beers. After dark, we jumped in the hot-tub and threw some Barry White on the I-Pod. The best part is, when she left the next morning, she hit the big oak tree at the bend in my driveway.

I disagree, he tried for a hole that wasn't there. Even Denny said the air moves the cars around so much that it may look like a driver moved when the air moved them over.
I thought he gave a pretty good drivers perspective, a nice change from the talking heads that no nothing about driving the new cars.
It was not Stenhouse Jr.'s fault - IMHO. The hole was there - because Stenhouse was alongside the 36 car when the 36 car hit him. The 17 car maintained his line - the 36 car didn't. Whether the air moved the 36 car over, or Yeley drove the car over doesn't matter, the hole WAS there.

DW (and I agree that sometimes it's almost painful to listen to him) pointed out several times yesterday (correctly also) that you need to be decisive when you make a move. The 36 car moved down to make the hole, then came back up to close it and hit the side of the 17 car.

Any good racer will go for an opening that is big enough for his car to fit into. That's why they call it racing. If Stenhouse had clipped the 36 in the rear (ala Kyle Busch clipping Kasey Kahne), then I'd agree it was the 17's fault.

No need to be confused...

It's a simple matter of talent. Ricky has it, Danica doesn't.

The caution before the last "big" one, Danica was about 7 seconds behind the lead pack. Had it not been for that caution, she would have been far enough behind to not get involved in the big one at the end.

That's pretty much been her season so far - way off the pace most of the time - just trying to finish the race.

I didn't think so, and this confirms it:

Quote:
NASCAR said Tuesday that Ryan Newman will not be fined for his rebuke of NASCAR on live television following a late accident at Talladega. Newman's race ended Sunday in a 12-car accident when Kurt Busch's car barrel-rolled on top of his car.

Newman said his TV interview was solely to complain that NASCAR had made plenty of safety advances but still couldn't figure out how to keep cars on the track. He used a vulgarity in his interview.

Not fining Newman is consistent with NASCAR chairman Brian France's decision to give drivers' permission to criticize anything but the cars and the on-track product. Denny Hamlin was fined $25,000 in March for saying he didn't think NASCAR's new car races as well as the old car.(Associated Press/ESPN)(5-8-2013)

Danica qualified 40th for tonight's race at Darlington - with a speed of 175.541.

The worst qualifying effort of any other driver running for a "quality" team was Joey Logano with a speed of 177.653.

So her time is over 2 MPH SLOWER than the worst time of anyone with equal equipment.

BTW - Joey was over 4 MPH slower than Kurt Busch's pole speed of 181.918...

How many laps before Danica goes a lap down? Or do frequent cautions save her assets...

I've seen that commercial several times. I'll probably never buy any Peak products because of it...

If I needed lessons on how to wreck cars, I get training from a demo driver. At least they understand what it is they're doing. Danica doesn't have a clue...

I hope you didn't pick her for your race pool...

Once again, her finish was only that good because of attrition - there were only 35 cars running at the end of the race.
