If you are looking for a 301 turbo car that looks like a good starting point. Still had the Recaro seats in it also.

It's surprising how low the pace cars and anniversary Trans AM cars are going for. Starting off with a WS6 car gets you suspension and steering. I put the power steering unit from a 79 T/A WS6 car in my 69 Firebird, and it went from way too many turns lock to lock, to just over 4. So much better to drive with less steering wheel spins.

68 Firebird convertible in Florida at $33K BIN. The gauges are horrid, and the interior would look better stock, but the car is damn clean. Someone put a lot of work into this car. I'll go so far as screaming deal at this price IMO. Black paint aint cheap.

Clean good looking 86 base Firebird, 2.8 V6, 5-speed manual, T-Tops. 80K miles for a BIN of $12,900.00
Interesting car, I even like the colors, I am not a T-top fan but I would probably make an exception for this one. I even like the colors. https://www.ebay.com/itm/19827138637....c101875.m1851

While not for everyone, this 74 4-speed Ventura with a GTO hood in Illinois at $24K BIN is a very clean car. Not sure what to make of the green arrowish thing that ends abruptly, or why was green chosen? Maybe it was an attempt at a Yenko Nova look... albeit lacking. Still, very clean car.

The asking price on the older big cars with "big car" appeal (not a bubble top or a 4-speed), I think is dropping. 64 Grand Prix in New Mexico at $14.2K NR.

70 Grand Prix in Illinois at $1K NR. Yard runs and shows 41K on the clock, which may mean 141K? Back when these were just cars on the road, it wasn't uncommon to run an old Pontiac to 150K, and expect it to run. If you changed the oil and took care of them, they were very reliable cars. My Ex's Mercedes only had a 60K warranty.

70 Lemans convertible in AZ with a reserve. Comments at end.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/12782260596...Bk9SR8Dkq6e2Zw ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The only buyer I can see for this pile of parts, is someone who already has a Lemans, or GTO with a usable front end. It's an AZ car, so prolly rust free. Engine is "refreshed" which means nothing really, because you'll have to take it apart anyway. Ther front end is gross and a very bad ROI IMO. What draws my attention is the seats. They aren't stock, but really work IMO. If it's real leather, thumbs up. |
