Are you using a stock condensor? If so, there are two mounting brackets for it. I think I can find mine if you need a picture.

No, I'm using aftermarket condenser.We are trying to set it up and figure out where the lines go thru.Looking at a stock core support there is only 1 extra good size hole but 2 lines of course.

The dryer line goes through that hole with a grommet. The top line from the condenser goes through by the top of the radiator opening.

Mine has an OEM condensor mounted to the core support - no lines attached though. I can get you pics if needed. I haven't put my compressor or any lines in the car yet. After I pull the motor this winter, I plan to finish the A/C stuff.

Well, I was having second thoughts about the HO exhaust install and suddenly had a brain fart! Why not order both down pipes and then I can go either way.
I am going to call Pypes tomorrow and ask them some questions. Also, the Moultrie Swap meet is only 3 weeks away so I will see if they will bring them to the meet and save me shipping. That will help offset the extra cost for the downpipes.

I have made plans to pick up my exhaust system at the Moultrie Swap meet in three weeks. I may also order the right rear quarter glass while I am there.
Other than those purcahses there isn't much else I can do until I get the thing painted. And that probably won't happen until spring.

I just installed a Gardner exhaust on my 67 GTO and I am using Ram Air manifolds too.

last time i drove this car was back in 1982! Reagan was in office!
I know the perfomance will be good I just cant compare it to the original since it was so long ago. I know alot of guys are running Pypes. they make a great system. I am going concours though.
Been following your thread for the past year or so..you are doing a great job!

That is a fine looking chassis RDR. It makes me want to hold off until I could afford the Gardner exhaust.
Did they supply the correct hook-up for the Ram Air manifolds?

Yes,
when I ordered the exhaust they asked me if i was using ram air or stock manifolds.
I ordered the concours kit which included all the metal hangers and clamps plated so they wont rust and the cast iron flanges that mate to the exhaust manifolds are Jethot coated too.
I got the exhaust manifolds Jethot coated on my own so hopefully the exahust system wont rust up like natural steel would.

it was about 1300...i bought it a year ago..they have a 6-8 week lead time too
I think they dont give the prices cause they dont want to scare away business..but if you want the best you have to pay i guess

I heard Waldrons makes a very nice concours system too for less

Dominic, thank you. A beautiful system but about $400 more than I would have guessed. But you get what you pay for and listing that price on their site would certainly scare a lot of people off. Thanks again.

Wow, It's been over two months since I have spent any money on my car or put in any hours on it.
Well, I still haven't put in any more hours but I did spend some money! I think I made a pretty good buy on a 67 console. I got it for $200.00 + $35.00 shipping. All I will have to do is repaint the black plastic turquoise and it will be ready to bolt in.Here are some pics and updated totals.

Well, I ordered my exhaust system from PYPES and will pick it up next Saturday at the Moultrie Swap meet.
I talked to my painter yesterday and I hope to get the car to him in a few months for the final body work and paint.
I want to get the A/C finished in the engine compartment before I take it to him..

I am wore out! I went to the Moultrie Swap Meet yesterday and it was the biggest one ever! I walked my butt off just looking at the parts for sale. There was even some Ponctiac stuff there!
I didn't come close to seeing all 4,000 cars on display.
I got my PYPES exhaust system and hope to start installing it this week. I have a few questions but will post a new thread to cover them.

I have spent about 6 hours on the exhaust system install so far. It is coming along nicely without any major problems. I have to cut off the down pipes and the tail pipes then I will be able to finish it up.
Next, I hope to finish up the A/C in the engine compartment. After that the car will be ready to go back to the body shop for final prep and paint.

I am sick!! When I got back under the car I noticed a small wet spot on the cardboard under the engine. There is oil dropping off the torque converter cover! I checked the pan gasket and it is dry as far as I can see. The only other source of the leak would have to be the rear main seal, right?
I did not take the converter cover off. There is no oil on the back of the oil pan.
So, now I have to make a decision, pull the motor and replace the rear seal or hook up the exhaust and run the motor and see if it seals.
I think I know the answer. Pull the darn thing! If I do I will go to the ram air manifolds and change what I need to change while the motor is out.
I may have to pay someone to do a little cussing for me!!
