"WHEN I PURCHASED THIS CAR, I ASKED MR MCDONALD TO DO ME ONE FAVOR. I ASKED HIM TO APPLY FOR A LOST TITLE WITH THE STATE, & GIVE THAT TO ME WHEN I PAID FOR THE CAR. HE DID, & THATS THE ONE I GAVE TO THE STATE. I PUT THE ORIGINAL AWAY FOR SAFE KEEPING. SMART MOVE! THEN I TOOK THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTATION THAT I HAD RECEIVED FROM HIM & LAMINATED ALL OF THEM SO AS TO PROTECT THEM FROM DAMAGE. (YES EVEN THE CARBON PAPER!) "

So he saved the original documents, but then he destroyed them by laminating them. Not a smart move.

I delivered one of those out of the Tarrytown GM plant back in 1978. It's the only one I've ever seen and it was something else. I just wish I could have driven it on the highway. I'd heard and read in Motor Trend they were badass cars. That one on CL looks to be in good shape..... for it's age.

You would have thought they'd choose a Futura for that cause (because of the nomenclature), but instead they pulled a plain jane 4-door. Goes to show that greenies didn't care a lick about style forty years ago, either.

BTW; I wonder how much battery acid has seeped into the metal, along with sitting in the PNW climate.

And they called it a Chevy but it's a GMC. Looks like a good project truck, though.
