Brew - yep, had to do it. I really didn't want to sell the red/white car but the new owner really wanted it. Both of my 4-speeds had pluses and minuses and it seemed the original car was easier to sell. Guess I won't be driving an SD much anymore since the red/white was my driver but I will be driving the new Viper - a lot! The build date is April 7 and I will be walking it down the line and driving it out of the plant to home. I will get the very first “Viper Very Orange” car. I will keep every paper that comes with it; I already have the build sheet! It's really a unique opportunity for me since I have worked on them for so long, might as well have one. Mid 11 quarter miles around 125 - 130 mph, 25 to 30 mpg on the highway and it handles and stops like a true race car. What the heck, I didn't need two old T/A's anyway (but I already miss the car and it hasn’t even left yet)!

WOW! Can’t wait to see and go for a rip in that new cruiser.
If I worked there I'd pull the trigger myself and enjoy seeing it built, that’s rare and awesome opportunity for sure!
Can’t afford that kind of coin for an everyday car, dam it Jim!
Will you have that thing by the time of the Gathering?
Enjoy your weekend and take all the pictures you can of that baby before she leaves town.
Later, Brew

Cruser? That ain't no cruser, it's a friggen race car!
Congrats Dick! I can't wait to see that orange, I love orange cars!

I used to have a orange 72 240z 4-spd car. It was no race car but fun to drive.
2.4 L with 151 Hp. Not much but that's about 1 Hp per cubic inch, pretty good for the times.

I've had one for 15 years now. Watched it get built at the old Mack Assembly Plant in late 1992. We then we used it as a magazine project car for 2 years. It now makes for a great work bench in the center of the garage. Love that long flat hood! Great for storing parts on. ;-). Oh, and it was fast too in its day. Held a lap record at Sebring in the ASP class for a year back in 1994.

Hey SDD,

I thought maybe you could talk about your car on a forum that cared since this one is for Pontiacs which are made here in the United States.
http://www.zcar.com/forums/

Steve, I always liked the hard top look on those cars. Killer!

Yep, go ahead, talk stuff Brewster. You know you want the 1990 Twin Turbo.
I think it was you who drove it to 142 mph, with the T-tops off, on your country
roads, and said, "it's not that fast" fess up boy......... You are not fooling me.
Pontiacs or not you know this is a kick-butt go cart. Just as quick as the auto SD of yours and just as fast. Remember the rip to the Belvidere auction down I-90? with Pure SD and I? Nuf said.

SDD

Yeap, got me!

Love that Twin Turbo all wheel drive and she did hang right in there with those duties.
Somebody had to pull your chain with Z pictures on a Super Duty Forum though and since Bob is on vacation some where I figured what the hell
Maybe Dick threw something to heavy at him?

SD question. Does anyone know what the difference is in the SD M40 trans fluid inlet & outlet lines? The LS2 lines are shown with different part numbers (assy. manual) than the L30, L65, L75 & L78 lines. The only thing I can think of is, different bends in the cast iron header area. Maybe larger tube diameter? The ones I got from Inline Tube only specify T400 5/16" nothing about engine useage. Any ideas?

The fittings at the radiator are a differnt size on 71-72 HO and the lines run different on 73-74 SD to get away from the exhaust manifolds heat.

Was that the same Brewster Green SD that I saw advertised in Hemmings that sold for $148,500 at the RM Auction? Anyone have any particulars?
