Nice job! I have to pull the rear out of Gramma's car and do the same in the next few weeks. Thanks for the incentive!

Not a problem, we have to keep these birds looking good. By the way I didn't need the spc7 I went with a crower cam.

Got a chance to spray the rear inner fender wells. The over spray on the frame rails was what the factory did. I covered it up to keep it looking original overspray.

Rear leaf springs, sway bar, and end links installed. Just waiting to mate her up.
Still looking for 2 spring clips in case some one has some extras laying around. Thanks, Bub |

Great attention to detail. I daresay that they didn't look that nice at the factory!

My son built the motor for me once we received it back from the machine shop. He also rebuilt the 4 Speed transmission. It's nice to have a son that's a master mechanic.
I painted the engine with Bill Hirsch paint. |

That is a great looking engine color!

I agree, it looks better in person.

Was able to sand, prime and paint the dash/cowl area over the last three days. The last two pictures on the right are actually a satin black color. Some reason my phone camera doesn't pick up colors real well.

Great work! Just an FYI - The swap bar drop links are installed backwards - the bolt side should face the gas tank instead of the rear. (I initially got this wrong on my car, too, and then reviewed my original photos to confirm it.) Just swap them, flip them left to right, turn them around and they will be in the correct configuration.

Interesting assembly manual info! I've been going by original, unmolested cars. Could be that the assembly line didn't really car which way they went, though? My family has owned my 75 since new and the drop links were facing back towards the tank instead of towards the differential since new. They work fine either way.
