The Holley intake I have flowed modified by SD perfromance flowed great. I would like to see a slightly bigger plenum and maybe the runner lengths extended a little, and carb pad blended into the tops of the runner better. It is a good starting point.

Is there a date set yet that you hope to have the the intake available by? When will you start engine testing (comparing intakes) with it and have some results?

Ken & Dave:
Would be serious about trying your intake on my 1976 500 cu.in. plus ATI Procharger set up if it flows those #'s and comes in around the same height as the Holley Street Dominator for my ATI ProCharger blow thru applications. With the hat and the taller Victor intake, kinda makes it rough to use a stock type appearing hood. You know that stealth mode. Kinda hard to make blow thru power when your restricted to the Firebird hood lines. E-mail me info and Keep me informed. |

I hear ya Dude. That is the whole reason for this Intake. Making it stealth so it fits under the hood but flows good #'s. We are trying to have it ready before x-mas! This would be a great stocking stuffer
The heads will come in 3 different versions. The "Track" version will have 2.19 x 1.75 vlaves. The "Street" version will have 2.15 x 1.75 vlaves. And the 350 head will have 2.09 x 1.68 valves. I also have prices but they are at the shop. Watch for my new add in HPP!! It will have pricing and more! Also we are giving the website an update! Check it out soon! Be Cool,

Torker II and Holley both short. Torker II has a big plenum.

So is this intake going to be "exactly" the same height as a stock iron unit? I have no hood clearance as it is now with my 455 HO alum intake on my ned generation Formula. I need to ru na holley anda 1/2" nitrous plate and this new intake might work, or if the height isnt right the pads will work fine for nitrous nozzles instead.

It will be stock height. This is the largest segment of the market.

I would pay a hundred bucks extra to have it 1/2"-3/4" lower than stock height! or at least have enough carb pad material available for someone to mill it down that much for added hood clearance.

Quotes:
"I like the "Tomohawk" or "Tomahawk" not sure how its spelled intake manifold. Apache would work too. According to many, the Street Dominator is/was the best flowing street manifold ever produced. Rodney Butler ran a modified Street Dominator on his 9 sec "street" car with a spray bar built into the plenum. Much of the new intake is being based upon the Street Dominator with many improvements like the removal of the heat riser/egr passage to keep the air charge cool...and of course larger runners that flow big numbers." Hey Dave! I know a guy who used to work for Holley, who now works for Ford Engineering, who worked on that intake. He also worked on the Pro Dominator Tunnel Ram Intake. A lot of dyno time was used to make the Street Dominator intake BETTER than any factory Ram Air 4 intake by several percent. I agree that it would be nice to have a lower profile, BIG runner intake that you could use with a blower carb set-up. Ken, You want to try a Torquer 1 intake with all rear runners I had built on Lady Dudes car at Norwalk this year? Tom V.

Also if it was 3/4" shorter carb pad than a stock intake I could run the ATI Procharger hat with my stock formula hood. Now that would be cool.
