Four things I would really like to see on the 06-07 GTO. Compass rear view mirror, polished rims on all GTOs that look like the unpolished 18", easy access to the rear seats and make the rear part where the GTO is embossed in part of the car, not a separate part, same color as the car no changes in rear looks. I like the Mustang, the 4 door charger and love the GTO. All these cars are far better than what was available before. Give em all credit. Those who don't like them get an attitude adjustment and thank the people for trying. I simply love my 05 Cyclone Gray A4 and it is awesome off the line for a factory car.

We need to update our year here guys...08! Hono, the 06 is already on the street. At this point, I'd add improved rear access, nav, seat memory, 50 more horses, AWD would be killer, any Monaro specific rim is better than what we have (although I'll take the 18" version), a vert, remote start and heated seats. Oh and a performance computer would be cool to come from the factory.

OK Now here is the plan. First Humbler like you said, 50 more horses, love that idea, never thought of it, remote starter, ok, back seat access is a necessary option if anyone rides back there, seat memory ok but I am the only one driving and same for heated seats as mine is in heated garage and don't drive it in winter but for anyone else I'll go along with that idea. Back of car absolutely needs to be changed from the GTO insert converted to be part of back of car. I knew 06 was out but putting ideas out without thinking(I do that a lot-don't think) but I think everyone is on the right track. ECM with power chip don't sound bad but you can buy a very good after market module if the ECM's haven't changed since I last worked there. Pretty reasonable and will have to check on price and find out for sure. Thinking about 300.00 and have to put a low temperature thermostat with that if they haven't changed. Sure need that compass mirror also. Having one put in next week if it doesn't snow. And the polished rims. I would love to see the 17" polished and looking like the 18" I simply love the looks of the 18"

blah, blah, blah. How about just making it look like a GTO with a Pontiac powerplant, rather than a 400 hp. Avis rental?

The next generation GTO will most likely look similar to the Camaro mockup everyone's been talking about. And it definitely won't have a Pontiac motor...my guess would be LS7. But who knows, a lot can happen in two years.

Hey they don't have to change anything. It is perfect like it is. But perfection can be tweaked just a bit. I love it and everyone who has one loves it. All you guys that do not like it, maybe just can't afford one, just smile at us when we go by. WE are having fun.

Hello Jeff How is the world treating you lately? This cold Indiana weather could go back to Canada and it wouldn't make me mad. But lived with it all my life so nothing unusual.

I will stick to my original desired changes. Just the four items. A rear view mirrow with compass, easier access to rear seats, change the insert on rear where it says GTO and make it part of body, and the polished 17" rims that look like the 18". That would make a great vehicle. Any other changes is OK but I don't need them. This would make me one happy GTO owner.

All you folks out there when you look on your build sheet just notice that 48% of the GTO is United States/Canada and 52% Australia. The whole drive train is US & Canada. My guess would be body Aussie and the rest you know where. No doubt Pontiac had a very big say in how it was made and how it looked. So a new GTO.

Huh, I just heard this a.m. that the door panel states 80% aussie / 20% American, too cold to go out and look at the moment.

The Coupe 4 is one badass machine. AWD, but too bad it's only got an LS1 and it's about $65K USD. Sweet car though.

I don't know what it is but when the factory / mfg makes mods they sure now how to do it, read Woodward Goat also. The Coupe is very nice indeed, I'd love to see a AWD Goat in 08.

Needs a more retro body style. lengthen the rear quarter, get a better exhaust note, better stereo system, Didn't they realize this was America's First Muscle Car!!!!! Test drove this car twice and opted for a V8 GP GXP. Being a hardcore GTO fan I was disapointed I had to pass this car up. Joe

Ok, my$.02......the new GTO is the new GTO, I guess its easy for me to accept the Australian GTO, as I am the owner of a 74 GTO. If I had a nickle for each time I heard "that aint no goat", or "nice Nova Mister", and my favorite, "why would anyone stick a TA scoop thru the hood of a nova", I could buy a new GTO for cash, and have enough $$$ left over I could build a garage just for it. When the new '04 came out I wanted to hate it just like evryone else, I was looking for throwback retro styling, and in the magazine it looked like a GP or GA. However, when it showed up at the local dealer, I liked it. Heres a few reasons,
1) in 64 the GTO was a stealthy car, it looked like the garden variety LeMans-Tempest, save for the very tiny scoops(and the '04 looked like a non threating GP but did it run like one, NO way)
2) did you ever set in one???? OH MY GOD!!!! I would love to have those seats in my GTO or any of my daily drivers as far as that goes
3) Power, can you say power, yes the '04 was lacking as compared to the newer models, but still was quick for an '04, but GM keeps improving and improving and it gets better and better

I think that the new 'stang is HOT, I like it, and its cheaper, but as previously stated setting in it it feels cheaper.
I think we need a "JUDGE" option, but I also heard that there is a large legal battle over the name The JUDGE. I heard that the rights to that name are currently owned by SLP, and that GM wanted to build a JUDGE model but since the rights had been picked up by someone else they couldnt use it, like I said something I heard may not be fact. Yes the Charger has the HEMI, and I hear a RRunner is in the works, so we need the JUDGE, or even a T-37, or something new. I agree to cater to "all" markets, have a stripper model for those of us that want it, with options or the choice not have options like, no power seats, no ac(Id want it, but I know some who dont), no power windows/locks, no Traction Control, just raw power!!!

What I think the new model needs is MORE and LESS. MORE HORSEPOWER/TORQUE, LESS CUSHY COMFORT, and over all a smaller bottom line!! Give me a stripper model with a stick and some "in your face" bright A$$ Orange paint! Some redesigned wheels that dont look like they came off a beemer, Throw a hood tach on it! Give me HONEST TO GOD RAM AIR, and hey just for some oohs and awwws at the next cruise in, give me tripower!!! yep 3 throttle bodys, heck I dont even care if the end ones work(well yea, yea I do). Keep the aero new car style, the form fitting seats(but manual, no 30 way power) but throw me some retro too. And make it affordable for who ever wants one. Some may say that cost doesnt effect sales, but tommorrow on your way to work, and home, count how many new stangs you see as compared to the 04 and up GTO, I know, I did it, I can see 10 or more stangs in one day and never ever see a new GTO. Id also like the option of having a 5th seat belt, would be alot easier to sell to a guy with kids!!!(like me)
sorry so long winded......oh and one more thing, the guy that posted the yugogto, put the crack pipe down and walk away slowly......just messin, but it doesnt look like a Yugo or a Pacer, unless maybe you are smokin crack, lol.

Most of us (haters and backers) were saying they need a stripper version in the very beginning. That would be great. I say just make this the 08 and be done with it... Even if you still have some doubts, I'd challenge anyone not to freaking love it after hearing it!!
