Getting air with the '66 Bonneville 2 door, but that may not be my WORST.
The worst I ever saw was a friend pulled up in his '76 TA 455. Things were glowing red under the hood. Enough to be seen in daylight. Solution? Hose it down before taking off again. At least he did not cut it off during the process. I still cringe thinking about it. As he was backing out: "Look, you can dig 2 holes if you hold the brake down and pump the gas". His uncle was a very talented builder/tuner & racer back in the 60s-70s. That car would run.

Driving my first 69 GTO for last two years of college when it was all I had. A lady slid through an intersection on ice and my front left bumper hit dead center on her rear tire. Screwed it up bad. She was okay but bawling, and had Just gotten the car back from an earlier accident that she also caused.
Another time, jumped on it on a partially icy street, did a 360 between the cars on my left and right(and then in front and behind) and didn't touch any of them. Another time I was doing a burnout and floated the valves, oil pressure dropped to nothing and then came back to a little more than nothing but the motor was quiet. Drove home, drove to work, and the next day pressure was normal. That one worried me a little. I did have that car in the ditch once but it was on a major highway and not steep; didn't even touch bottom.

Guys, there's a site on-line called The Cheap Jeep, and what it is is a group of guys who have been extensively off-roading a '66 Bonneville convertible since 1971....and it's still going strong. It was bought for $75, or something like that, modified with skid plates, two radiators, dual spare sidemount tires, but is basically a 389-2V TH400 stock car. Beat to all hell from 45 years of severe off-road adventures in the CA and NV deserts. The guys are all now in their 60's-70's, and are all professionals or retired professionals.....highly functional people. But they started out on a tight budget way back when, and the old '66 wouldn't die. So they still use the darned thing! If I could post a link I would...not a PC guy.
