BW's EFR turbos look like the cat's ass to me. Their wastegating, turbine materials and compressors have been very effective against older Garrett designs.

Well Charlie, BrandX called George a Dumbaze, by name, several times over a 3 part reply.
And as I told you on the phone, BrandX posted he was going to try a even smaller engine in some events, NOT BIGGER. What I told you on the phone was based on Travis and I talking years ago about dropping down a bit on the stroke (as it was not required for making the power needed). Have not talked to BrandX in any form for many years since he became famous. You were right Charlie, George was bad-mouthing you, but you were right, and George knows nothing about BOOST, or Street Racing. Good Job Charlie. Tom V.

Yeah , he likes to argue things no matter what the cost will be.
Lets see where he goes with it from here. Looks like Chiefs not happy with what i said. I was really just trying to make a point to george by saying ryan is a better tuner to send home that its not because of his motor being too small . I was right about that . But it came off wrong for chief capabilities at tuning. I never said he is bad at tuning . Ryan is very good at it as well as chief . Its just ryan had a better tune in his car at the time . I did say chief would end up on top and i was right ! Chief and Ryan obviousy are a close match in the tuning game .. So i was wrong about that deal.. But i cant take it back now. Thanks George.. lol The problem with george is he just wants to chip away at people until they become defensive , wich usually ends in people saying things out of frustration that they normally would not of said...

To the OP, my opinion, for a basic low -ish cost turbo combo - a good Factory 400 block with splayed caps, 3.75" crank forged, ported iron heads with good springs /seats etc, flat tappet cam, single plane intake and a good blow through carb from CSU, a big S400 BW single turbo, water/meth inj. for chemical intercooling, shorty headers, MSD 6530 box to control it all. I don't see why this couldn't make 800-1000 hp reliably.
Cam specs, somewhere around 240 Degrees duration/.550" lift on a wide LSA would be close going off a couple of turbo cams I've been involved with- but I'm not a cam expert, Comp will make you a custom turbo spec flat tappet for very little money-less than $200. |

From Other discussions Taff, the OP already has a set of twin turbos that are good for over 1000 hp.
Already has a great carb from Roger at C7S carbs. Could use some good suggestions on air to air inter-coolers, can rework turbo headers he has for his application, and has a pretty good plan from what he has told me to date. Tom V.

Ah sorry, must have missed that thread. I use a pair of twins myself, Master Power T70's, very reasonably priced when I bought them and should be good to around the 1200hp mark, maybe a bit more. I prefer the water/meth kit over bulky and heavy intercoolers and for turbo headers I used a Summit SBC weld up shorty kit and a pair of Pontiac flanges.

Not sure...LOL. BTW- I have nothing except the 265cfm heads, ported intake and a bare 988 block. Car is going in end of summer for mini tub, bar, rack and pinion conversion, narrowed 9 inch. |

Have to start somewhere ponjohn.
You are trying to do a turbo set-up, JC You in the other thread in this forum is trying to do a turbo set-up. Easy to bounce back and forth and get then mixed up. Sorry. Tom V.

I run a muffler, it is way to loud on long rides with out one. I still have to listen to music when cruising around.
