No disrespect meant at all to Alan Johnson, but they didn't exactly reinvent the wheel with the 481X. It's basically a Billet version of a Big Chief with the cam raised and pushrod moved around to improve valvetrain geometry. It has a standard 4.840" BBC bore spacing, and uses a BBC crank, with optimized bearing sizes, an 8 bolt Hemi flange. The block height is 10.4" and they are a 4.5" bore engine, so they've aren't some huge bore, stretched block monster that many assume them to be. The center 3 mains are crossbolted and the block design honestly looks just like a shiny Big Chief block.

They are great engines no doubt, but they are honestly an improved version of a tried and true design that has been around quite a while.

Stan helped me with a piston to valve clearance issue recently. Saved me a lot of time.

I am glad he helped you out Paul. He just likes to be a thorn in my side being on the anti CV side. He will always be a non racer to me until he gets a car back out there.
If you raced 20 years ago you are currently a non racer.

What does that matter? Doesn't mean the stuff he knows is useless! What is your cutoff point? I haven't ran for 2yrs, am i a non racer therefore no need to respect me?

Come on Brian, you still have your car still have your engine.
Now all they guys that Stan has helped line up and take your shots.
Stan and I are going back and fourth. He takes shots at me, I take shots at him.
He is a "numbers" guy and I am sure it is of use once in awhile to some. Still does not mean I am not going to call him a non racer and take shots at him as long as he does his "lie and wait" bu!!sh!t.

Now, since I have your attention do you get any numbers with a BOP ? I know where one is at and am kicking around picking it up.

Who do you help out around here really ?
I have 50 NHRA trophies in my heap. I build the engine, tranny and rear end as well as install suspension. Now just how can you "help me out" ?
I am about to step up in power in a pretty big way. Doing engine and tranny myself. Rear end needs nothing.
You give a bunch of numbers that rarely mean anything to very many people.
Your MO is to quote someone, highlight the one part you find fault with and point it out but in truth you are a troll. A no car computer only troll that hangs out in the race section. Textbook.
Your problem is you can never be wrong or not know something. It just eats you up when it is me that point out your mistakes.

Actually the last time I was at the track making some passes was 2007 and that car like every other car I have races was a 3 pedal car.

There is an old saying. It maybe before your time. "Real racers cars have 3 pedals"

It is all yours now. i will be just like everybody else read one of your posts LMAO and just move on.
