Have 78 x7 long block apart since 85.
Only to ck bearings and heads after 15k hard miles
Rod bearings ckd good.
Didn't ck mains causee got a 70 455 that week.
Crank still turns by hand.
Pick up $500 bucks if like condition.

There have been a few since we allowed these cars to race several years ago. I'd say at least 4 - '78/'79 W72 4-speed TA's, 1 - 403 '79 TA, and 4 - Z28's so far...as I recall.

According to Rocky's 2nd Gen Firebird book there were 1694 W72 Formulas produced in 1978, 810 manual and 884 automatics...so there has to be a few survivors out there. I'm biding my time until the right one comes along (no AC or T-tops).

Close again in this BAT listing. But it's a 77. Still cool to look at.
No ttops or ac. But interesting choice to order rally clock and vacuum gauge instead of full rally gauges. Also originally looks like it had snowflakes?
