Haven't posted much but a wealth of information here:

I spent 4 years looking and finally got an opportunity to purchase a CA black plate Survivor last spring. The car came with its original paint (faded but 99% there but thin in spots, born with engine and drive train (never rebuilt), original carb, original (little rough) interior, 46K documented mi, Firebird 400 4 spd with all the original docs (bill of sale broadcast sheet, protecto plate manuals, title from previous/original owner, etc.).

I took a pass on it a couple years ago because schedules didn't line up with the previous owner that was a collector and never registered the car. Ended up with it Arpil 2012 from a second collector/owner that did not register the car and got the bugs worked out (hadn't been on the road since 1996) to put a tank of gas through it last summer. Will be coming out of its climate controlled storage space at the end of the month. Pics are attached in the following link.

Kevin, your coupe would look good sitting next to my 'vert I picked up over Christmas break! This one was tucked away in a WI garage for 25+ years when I found it.

350 - 4 speed, 103k original.

Yes; I would agree vert and coupe of same color and year would be interesting side by side; has yours been painted?

I like the color of Flambeau Burgundy, not typical. Did your car stay in WI? Either way, enjoy your drop-top!

Thanks!

Ther were a couple "day-2" mods with the wheel wells painted white and the engine blacked out back in the day. The Cali sun raked havoc on the paint and interior. Last summer the seats got new foam and covers because the springs were creeping into places they shouldn't go but thats about it. Want to keep it as is but will pay attention to degradation and mediate as necessary.

Kevin-

Default my 69

Thought I posted pics before but went back a couple of years and didn't find any so here goes a couple. Constantly in flux. Got more parts coming this week.
"These will be the last ones though I swear, baby."

(BTW. The stain on the driveway is from my wife's camaro)

Nice work Lenie. Your Firebird looks amazing! The attention to detail you have lavished on this car is evident.

It's the white one on the right.

Almost done with the restomod work. Has a 455 (400 block) with a Tremec 5sp. 9in Ford. Heidts front subframe. Heidts coilovers in rear. Drives like a slot car! Disc brakes all around.
