Based on the rest of her appearance, I could look past a few goat whiskers!! I guess I've never noticed them when she's on TV---even with the extreme close-ups you often see of her face.

But, skilled race car driver, she's not!

I was up on an island in northern WI for a 4 day weekend and missed Crashica's latest performance.

Poor Travis Kvapil was the innocent victim of her driving "expertise" in 2 of the last 3 races.

Someone once posted here that Danica showed a lot of talent on the road courses.

Well, Crashica qualified 35th - 4.5 MPH off the pole speed.

This is even worse than Sonoma where she qualified 31st.

She did call Kvapil this week and talk:

"I did call him and did talk to him," Patrick said Friday prior to Cup practice at Watkins Glen International "I felt like it was time to do that. It was a good conversation. Hopefully we don't have any more issues in the future. It's not good to crash cars. I don't want to be in that position. I don't want to be in the position to take anyone with me."

Kvapil hopes she doesn't take anyone (especially him) out this weekend (or subsequent weekends) when she crashes too...

She did reasonably well yesterday with a 20th place finish. Managed to stay out of the wrecks and didn't cause any that I know of.

She was never competitive - just out for a Sunday drive.

Had there not been the rash of wrecks at the end - she probably would have finished closer to where she started (35th).

On a side note - Regan Smith has Danica's Nationwide ride this year - after 21 races he has 725 points compared to Danica's 838 points in the full 33 race season last year.

Same car, same crew, different driver. Much better results. Just sayin'....

With 16 to go she was 29th - that's where she would have finished if 9 guys didn't have to have their front ends sawed off or their back ends taped on!

Just hang back and watch the race and hope for wrecks to get a good finish.

I wouldn't go that far, at least for myself....however....if you're going to get paid that much for doing something - at least be good at it!

And at Michigan, where Panica had finished 13th in her previous appearance...

She finished 23rd after starting 28th.

Austin Dillon - filling in for Tony Stewart - started 27th and finished 14th. Austin's earlier finish this season at Michigan was 11th.

Younger driver with less experience - but much better results.

She puts the cruise on after every restart and just makes laps. Let's everyone just drive by - and works very hard at not hitting anything.

She's in 27th place right now - and the only driver that she might possibly catch is her team owner Tony Stewart - and he's not driving because of a broken leg.

That's funny!

The thing is - 25th in the points sucks. That's not an achievement - that an embarrassment when you are running a top tier car.

Danica is only ahead of 3 drivers who have been in all 26 races - Gilliland, Reutimann and Kvapil.

Mark Martin has been in 7 fewer races and is only 16 points behind her.

Gilliland is only is only 11 points behind - and very possibly might over take her the way she has been racing lately.

Danica should be up near where her main squeeze is in the points - Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is in 20th place. Now you may say that is "close" but it really isn't.

Why? Because Stenhouse has 644 points - and Danica has ZERO chance to make the ROY competition remotely close.

Ricky and Danica have equal cars, but she has much more racing experience than him. The difference is talent and desire.
